Llanafan Fawr & Beulah
The
village of Beulah is located 4 miles (10 minutes) driving away
from Tyn-y-Beili, this small village has a petrol garage and a Londis
mini-supermarket and convenience store. Llanafan Fawr which is also 10
minutes drive away is served by an 11th Century inn, The Red Lion, the
oldest pub in Powys and the second oldest pub in Wales. The village is
also home to St Afan's church and the starting point of various walks

Builth Wells
The nearest town of Builth Wells (Llanfair-ym-muallt) is situated 9 miles away from Tyn-y-Beili, the town has lots to offer including shops, tea rooms, restaurants, leisure centres, cinema, live shows and is just accross the bridge from Llanelwedd, home of the Royal Welsh Showground. The River Wye runs through the town and has walk ways alongside. Although the town is small there is a lot to do, visit the tourist information centre, by the Groe car park in the town, or see leaflets provided at Tyn-y-Beili.

Rhayader
The town of Rhayader is located 15 miles away from Tyn-y-Beili, this small town is the gateway to Y Cwm Elan (The Elan Valley) which is home to large reservoirs and dams along with stunning scenery, this is also a lovely place for walking and picnics.
